New Year, New Businesses Coming To The Drive!
You may have already seen a sign change on The Drive kicking off the New Year… Galanga on Wilton Drive has changed ownership and is now known as Thai Me Up Restaurant and Bar. Why not? Because life is just more playful here!
State business records show owner, Thitari Thonobul, purchased Galanga in October, 2019, and has also purchased What The Pho on Wilton Drive and is expected to change the name of that eatery to Mama Pho. Thonobul has a successful history with Asian restaurants and owns several great places around South Florida, such as, J-Dao Sushi Thai in Tavernier and Sushi Lico in Miami.
J-Dao boasts a 4.5-star rating on Yelp! and a 4.6-star rating on Google Reviews. Sushi Lico has a great 4-stars on Yelp! and a 4.6-star rating on Google Reviews as well. With several other Sushi or Thai restaurants in the Wilton Manors area, the community is excited to see what new changes Thonobul will bring to The Drive with the two locations in this New Year.
According to a post on their Thai Me Up Facebook page:
Under the conception of modern Asian inspired menu, we bring authentic Thai foods and the true flavor of Japanese sushi to the table in our modern way. Each dish is made with passion of our experienced and highly-skilled chef who has been working more than 20 years in Thai and sushi restaurant industry.
