Get Back In The GAME!

Did you grow up playing sports or did you ever want to learn? The South Florida Amateur Athletic Association (SFAAA) has an amazing opportunity for you. The local Fort Lauderdale softball league offers LGBTQ+ members a chance to build community in a fun and supportive environment. Joining SFAAA softball is relatively easy, as they are a co-ed league that welcomes all skill levels. Games are typically on Sundays at Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale.

Don’t miss your chance for the upcoming new player recruitment events. The league offers two events at Mills Pond Park both on Sunday, February 2 and February 9, starting at 9am. Registration for new players begins at 8:30am on both dates.

If you have a passion for team sports or have an interest in forming life-long friendships, this is an excellent opportunity to have an all-around fun experience. Again, all skill levels are welcome, so if feel like you do not have the experience, the league has mentors and volunteers willing to help others learn the game that so many of us love. The league does have a competitive edge for those looking to slide headfirst into the swing of things, but most importantly, it is all about building a solid, fun, support system.

The “Sunday funday” is like any other day at your local ballpark with concession stands, fans, coaches, and players all looking to have a good time. This is a great way to meet players, meet fans, and get some good exercise. So step up to the plate and we’ll see you at this year’s recruitment events.
