Mingle Bells, Mingle Bells, Mingle All the Way!

It’s time to don our gay apparel and join other festive elves for the 5th Annual Christmas Tree Skirt Promenade. This annual event will be held this year on Friday, Dec. 13, starting at 7pm at The Pub on Wilton Drive. Hosted by Mitzi Ross, the walk will then continue on to other stops along the way where participants will receive exclusive drink specials and there will be a contest and prizes for the best Christmas skirts. Most of all, you’ll mingle and jingle with new people and enjoy plenty of holiday cheer!

What actually qualifies for a Christmas skirt? You can wear your own unique Christmas tree inspired skirt, as long as it follows these important guidelines. You may opt for either an actual Christmas tree skirt, a kilt, a leather gladiator skirt, a sarong, tutu, or a poodle skirt, but it must be creative and you must use your imagination! Start ringing your jingle bells and design something fun!

For the fifth year, this event is a toy drive to support the Judy Shepherd Toy Drive, which benefits Thurgood Elementary School, Participants in the Christmas Tree Skirt Promenade are asked to bring an unwrapped children’s toy with a minimum value of $10 (ages 6 – 12). You can drop off your gifts to The Pub’s front door on Dec. 13, or drop them off at The Pride Center during regular hours.

This event is sponsored in part by The Pub, Alibi/Monkey Bar, and DRYNK Lounge. For more information, join this event on Facebook. This festive holiday event kicks off at The Pub, located at 2283 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors, Florida.
